Board of Directors

The board of directors have no authority to set values or appraisal methods. Its required duties and authority are prescribed by the Texas Property Tax Code, and include establishing the appraisal district office, hiring a Chief Appraiser, appointing the Taxpayer Liaison Officer, appointing the Appraisal Review Board, adopting the district’s biennial reappraisal plan, and adopting the district’s annual operating budget.

Click here if you will be attending an up-coming Board of Directors meeting and check-in as a guest by filling out the form.  Scheduled board meetings start at 6pm, public comments are held at the beginning of the meeting and reserved for those who check-in.  Each public speaker is allotted 5 minutes unless the Board extends time.


The 88th Texas Legislature passed new legislation for counties with a population of 75,000 or more, calling for three members of the appraisal district board of directors to be elected by the public at a general election for At-Large Place 1, At-Large Place 2 and At-Large Place 3.
